Kunzite is a hard pink to white gemstone, a variety of spodumene with the colour coming from manganese. It was named after George Frederick Kunz, who discovered it in Connecticut, USA in 1902. I tis currently mined in Brazil, USA, Canada, Mexico, Sweden and Afghanistan.
Kunzite is a popular healing stone. It’s sometimes known as The Woman’s Stone because it helps young mothers who are having a tough time with their child. It will help calm overactive children for bedtime, and the stone’s energies will also help young children have a good night’s sleep.
