A Lunar Meteorite is a meteorite that is known to have originated on the Moon. This rock was detached from the Moon by a meteorite impact and hit the Earth in North-Western Africa (NWA), or more precisely in the Sahara. A meteorite hitting the Moon is normally classified as a Transient Lunar Phenomenon.
Overall, there are only about 40kg of lunar meteorite in the world, and only one third of this is commercially available!
