Diacalymene trilobites are well-known from Upper Ordovician marine deposits in North Africa and represent a genus within the:

The Ktaoua Group consists of siliciclastic marine sediments, deposited in a shallow epicontinental sea during the Katian Stage of the Upper Ordovician (~450 million years ago). The nodular preservation is a result of early diagenetic concretion formation, which encased and preserved the trilobite within fine marine silts and muds.
